International Women’s Day is celebrated on the 8th of March every year to celebrate women’s achievements throughout history and across nations. It is also known as the United Nations (UN) Day for Women’s Rights and International Peace. It is a time to reflect on progress made, call for change, and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their countries and communities.

International Women’s Day is observed worldwide. In Vietnam, people celebrate women’s day twice a year. One is International Women’s Day on the 8th of March and again on National Women’s Day on the 20th of October.
